Mrs. Melissa Kean To All Instructors

Hello, I’m excited to join BU as a tutor. Our family moved to Texas from Portland, Oregon in 2020.  We love Hill Country and so many things about Texas. I have over 8 years’ experience in homeschooling my own 4 children and from teaching at various co-ops over the years.

I hold a master’s degree in microbiology from Arizona State University.  I’ve been involved in laboratory research in drug development/discovery and immunology and have published work in those fields. Additionally, I have experience in both pharmaceutical and biotech sales.  I have a strong affinity to all kinds of scientific inquiry and a question asking worldview.  I am excited to bring academic excellence, a love of learning and the magnificent beauty of God’s design evident in creation to the classroom.  Above all, I endeavor to seek and serve my risen Savior and to know nothing “except Jesus Christ and Him crucified”, 1 Corinthians 2:2.
